This attractive and highly detailed illuminated model of the Enterprise is currently on display in a special Strange New Worlds exhibit at Star Trek: Mission Chicago, the ViacomCBS sponsored fan convention taking place from April 8 - 10, 2022 at the massive McCormick Place center in Chicago, Illinois. Based on the apparent relative size of people seen alongside the model in the imagery that follows, the miniature appears to be approximately 6' in length if not larger, which would correspond to the dimensions witnessed in actual filming models from earlier Star Trek series and feature films - although it is uncertain whether this model was employed in filming since most new science fiction productions typically rely entirely on computer-generated imagery (CGI) for their spacecraft and special effects scenes. The overall starship design pays tribute to the original Constitution-class U.S.S. Enterprise famously created by Art Director and Production Designer Matt Jefferies for Star Trek: The Original Series; and features a striking level of artistic detail in the mosaic pattern paint scheme applied to the hull surfaces.
